Benedict Onodu, CTS
Benedict is the founder of HCAIG (Human-Centric AI Governance) and of The AV Governance Report. He is the author of HCAIG-1, the Human-Centric AI Governance framework for intelligent spaces.
He is a technology enablement leader with a background in cybersecurity and an ISO/IEC 27001 Practitioner. He turns global standards such as ISO/IEC 42001 and the EU AI Act into practical governance for the organisations that design, build, deploy and run AV systems and intelligent spaces, across the UK, EMEA and beyond

Why our work matters
AV is no longer a standalone system. It is networked, data-rich and part of how organisations operate every day. Cameras, microphones and room systems now include AI features that can detect, track and infer things about the people around them, often switched on by default.
Regulation has caught up. The EU AI Act already prohibits emotion recognition in workplaces and education, and places duties on the organisations that deploy AI. Security, governance and AI risk are now foundations of good AV design, not add-ons.
The AV Governance Report exists to help the industry meet that challenge with clear, independent analysis and practical frameworks.
